Key ContactsReturn to the List of Partners Canada Mortgage and Housing Corporation (CMHC)CMHC is the Government of Canada's National Housing Agency, with a mandate to help Canadians gain access to a wide choice of quality, affordable homes. It is a Crown Corporation, with a Board of Directors, reporting to Parliament through the Minister of Human Resources and Social Development and Minister Responsible for Canada Mortgage and Housing Corporation, the Honourable Monte Solberg. CMHC has more than 2,000 people located at its National Office in Ottawa, and at various Business Service Centers throughout Canada. The Business Service Areas are divided into five regions: Atlantic; Quebec; Ontario; British Columbia; and Prairies and Territories. CMHC's contracting and procurement activities are decentralized. Under the Financial Administration Act, as a Crown Corporation, CMHC is not mandated to comply with the federal government Treasury Board of Canada Contracting Policy or national and international trade agreements. CMHC procurement policies, however, have been developed to reflect the spirit and the intent of Treasury Board contracting policy and the Trade Agreements. Goods - Greater than $ 25,000: Call-ups against CMHC or PWGSC Standing Offers; RFP or RFQ from Supply Arrangement; or public tender placed on MERX.
